Speedy conditions in the North Sea

After six hours of racing some of the boats have sailed more than half the distance to Shetland.

The boats in the Doublehanded class are all in front of the group. Solo2 with Rune Aasberg and Simen Løvgren has passed the 2 degree lenghtitude and has sailed withg speeds passing 14 and 15 and sometimes even 16 knots. From behind the other three Class 40 boats are also going very fast.

Of the "normal" boats Zorro and X-fram are going with good speed as well, most of the updates has indicated speeds of 8 and 9 knots.

If the windy conditions continue throughout the night we might see a record for westbound passage...
